Thuvakkam is a Non-Government Organization established in 2014 with the goal of creating a better society for all. Guided by the motto of “Be the Change you wish to see”, Thuvakkam undertakes projects in different domains to ensure holistic progress is made towards achieving an ideal and inclusive society. Our key areas of works are education, environment, and humanity.

Thuvakkam is a Non-Government organization that was started in 2014 by a group of enthusiastic college students. The name ‘Thuvakkam’ originates from the Tamil language and translates to “Beginning” in English. This formed the core ideology of the organization, of the whole team beginning to be the change they wished to see in society. In its 7 years of operation, Thuvakkam has solidified its vision, identified its domains, and grown to a reputable and recognizable NGO.
